Watched The Planet of Apes Origins (or whatever it's called in English). Found quite amusing until I started to remember that those apes weren't real, so I felt dead, given that half of the movie starred them. But it was quite fun. "Noooo!" And poor Draco Malfoy got toasted - something even J.K.Rowling couldn't do.

I hated with all my heart the Green Lantern.

I liked Captain America, even with those awful subtitles (it looked like an inverse version of Irina's speech)...

The guns of Navarone is great ... it has everything and it always makes me think of old WW2 games where you sneak around, hiding from the enemy. :)

What do you think about the plot of Anonimous? Is it too fantastic?

Watching The Fog of War with my students. Great stuff. Excellent documentary when it comes to reflection and perspectives.

Does anyone know of any decent movies based on Lovecraft? Been watching the Reanimator-trilogy which, while amusing, doesn't really have much to do with Lovecrafts story.

Just been to see The Artist. Could have been maybe 10 minutes shorter, but I see why the good reviews.

Now back to our regual schedule of zombie- and monster movies of dubious repute.

Dead Snow. And could you be luckier? Its original language is Norweigan.

Also heartily can recommend the AMC TV series The Walking Dead and the movie Shaun of the Dead as other recent quality entries in the zombie film genre.

Zombieland is good too, for the more lighthearted approach. Good introduction to zombie survival-rules too :)

Yeah but those are the lighthearted type of zombie movie. Day, Dawn and Day of the Dead are a bit more bleak. First being the best, of course.

Evil Dead is of course mandatory, though only zombie movies in the broadest possible sense.

Just saw Shock Waves (1977). Not impressed; too much water and too few zombies.

Peter Jackson's "Dead Alive" is great if you want to go the really disgusting route. Army of Darkness is great, but only peudo-zombie. Poultrygeist is ... well, it's not for everyone. Slither is effing awesome and a must watch zombie-horror movie.

The list goes on. But by far my favorite is Dead Snow. :D
