You forgot the most important option: topless. The rest matters little.

Out of given options, a tank or a race. The latter should consist of tanks and magicans (knowledge over spellpower) + non-naga cratures.

I want my H3 Naga back.

Giving the name to a whole race is something i don't like, but the problem is that it looks like they already did (DM). I just hope there'll be a lvl6 melee one with 6 arms and maybe some new abilities. And she'd better have a great name you damn hacks. :flame:

The Medusa would fit right in. As would any scaled reptile type monster. You could make a whole race without calling half of them Naga something easy.

Many of us wanted a swamp faction like Fortress, so they should be pleased seeing the nagas along with medusas, basilisks and so on.

The thing is that if they make them into a race we'll have something like lvl 2 naga, lvl 4 naga, lvl 6 naga etc. :disagree:

I voted a race of Nagas. Have 3 Naga units and fill in other units for a swamp town.

That could so easily be avoided by having a reptile town... :(

I vote "I don't care for them, there's no need".

I just think they've made naga with lion head and with legs this time, naming it Rashkassa Rani (difficult name, though). Making nagas to return, they could be used as hero class, spellcaster or ranged unit.

Not that it really matters though. My concerns are on dwarves.^^ :proud:

Nagas

Unread postby Mytical » 29 Aug 2006, 04:55

Naga's could be what the Succubus in inferno should have been (imho). Casters and able to charm, and drain life force. Also shooter with no range penalty if you go with the multiple arms version. :) just my 2 cents worth. (The charm would cause the 'victim' to not retaliate AND fight on the side of the nagas)

Without a doubt I want to see them return and without a doubt I want to see them as a melee fighter.
They don't even have to be part of a town as far as I'm concerned. As long as they (and the Efreet as well) return as neutral units, I'd be happy.

The Medusa would be the most logical shooter in a snake-people town.

Yes Medusa's could be shooters in a Naga town (though I didn't include them in mine hehe). But there are 3 in academy towns, so there could be more :)

Tanks, please. Maybe they could also be given an interesting ability besides no retaliation or whatever.

Why should they have replaced the nagas with the rakshassas (that are basically the same creature) if not to use them somewhere else?

And why should they have left out the medusa from dungeon if not for a similar reason?

Nagas are nothing like Rakshasas. Nagas are snake spirits and Rakshasa are tiger spirits.

The Heroes Naga is probably the least authentic creature (next to the Faerie Dragon, of course). Nowhere in Eastern mythos is it depicted in the medusa form and nowhere does it have multiple arms. It is just a made up monster and not worthy of the game. So there.
