Remember to supply your town forces with units from both outposts. Buy a hero to maintain those reinforcements. If you manage to hold out the first assault, the rest should not be a problem...
Interesting. I used Godric with Griffins (that kind of reminds me of something...) and marksmen to clear the map while Isabel stayed at base. Griffins worked real well, especially as both outpost produced them and I did not feel they were very efficient in town defense.

I use their Battle Dive (of course I mean their upgrdade) to clear out the Succubus threat when Inferno attacks my town...still, because after the dive they return on a random field they must withdraw as soon as possible (or try another dive).

Well, Imperial Griffins is another matter entirely- they're quite good for targeting units that are gating in :)

Personally, I prefer to use them on stronger units, because those gated are usually scarce. By the way, they should make some kind of information when will the Griffin attack after using the Battle Dive command...at least on the initiative bar.

Better to use them against sucubi and pit lords.

Well, you can plan ahead since they will return when its their nex turn, and that can be seen before they fly up.But I agree:They should stay on the initiative bar.Creatures that are to be gated in are there,so why not griffins?

Not if you only have those you start with- they're too few to kill of the pit lords at least, and if they're allowed outside the castle, they'll quickly be killed.

Theres an interesting bug in the demo.If you set a path for your hero, and another her gets in that path, you can walk straight trough him instead of moving around like you would if you set a new path. You just need to hit the move button.

That's not a bug. It's the new incorporeal ability heroes tend to use when they face an obstacle it would take more than 2/3 of a step to walk around. ;)

Well, I finally decided today to restart the download. After six hours, I was very skeptical: I was almost sure the demo wouldn't work on my system. But when I double-clicked the shortcut... Surprise, tLD! The newest game from your favourite series is working, and it's running well!

And although Agrael kicked my butt when he first visited, I played enough to see a potentially great game. Graphically, it is of course superb, even at the lowest settings. Gameplay-wise, it has the necessary Heroes flavour. And it most definitely is not Heroes 3.

My only wish is that they change the main menu screen and do something with the hero menu to make it less cumbersome. I think it's simply terrible in certain aspects. Of course, rephrasing the game messages here and there is also an aspect. And all the other tiny bugs that exist.

My greatest dissappointment is the voice casting (is that what you call it in English?). The dialogues I've heard so far lack any sort of passion. I keep comparing Isabel's tone with the one Catherine had in the H3 intro; I just can't help it, although I know it's kind of... I don't know, irrelevant, or useless...

All in all, the demo is nice, and I hope May 19th will bring us a good game. Of course, I also hope the needed patches will be released soon afterwards. :)

Wait until you hear the final cutscene in that mission, and then talk about lack of passion.

Blasphemer...

Most of your complains are metioned in the readme so i'm assuming they'll be fixed in the final version.
I found the fact that everybody has a different accent more annoying then the lack of passion. Then again that might be because i've seen/heard worse (Antena 1, pe la 8. Sa vezi ce frumos pare restul dupa).

Spellforce 2 right now. And Disciples 2 had the creatures in 3D. Haven't played any other 3D Strategy game in which I liked the graphics though.

No,it doesnt. The styles are completely wrong.Just because it has a nice background,it doesnt mean it looks nice.Hell, even myth has better graphics, and it very, very old.Not to mention SF,or god forbid,SF2.

Oh, WH40k: Dawn of War also had nice graphics. Though it might just be the style fitting the graphics better.

Unfortunately, I haven't played all those games, so I wouldn't know. I still think it looks good. It's not perfect, but I don't even want that.

Oh, and have you noticed that the Inferno town theme has some parts where it's similar to the Wicked Witch of the West theme in the Wizard of Oz? It's hilarious! :loll:

Well most people agree with you. I just hate you all with a passion. ;)

Tastes are tastes, I just don't think that pixel numbers mean better looking graphics, like some people do. For example I hate the way Mechs look in MechWarrior 4 and think they looked better in 3, but in every review I saw the graphic got praised... the bloody things look like they're made of really cheap plastic, at least in H4 they looked like quality plastic...

Yet I do want perfection.HI-HIII were perfect.Although in HIII you could see a bit of a decline. And it went down hill from there

No, but I did notice that Infernos battle theme in H5 is similiar to the Kreegan campaign theme from H3. Well it's the same author afterall.
