Me too if possible. And that doesn't make them less useful :)
In close combat they're not that strong but that's the same with elves. They're not made for anything else but shooting.
I think their strength more than makes up for the low movement.
Mesa like like :D

Well, that's three spells to be exact, but still totally crippling.

medusas: no melee penalty, stone gaze and unlimited ammo makes them a really good shooter (with precision much better :) )

I just love stack of medusas, and spellcaster hero with potions of mana + Displacement Spell, great combo when you have time-> even garissons full with 3'rd and 4'th lev won't survive:). Unlimited shoots is just one of the best abilities:)

IMO ghosts are an average unit. Despite beeing insubstantial they have little HP so easy to eliminate. Of course Aging and lots of them thanks to necromacny recompensates it, but still suppose cerberus is a bit better

Question: Who or what determines how many shots a creature has?
I've been wondering :devious:

The guys that made the game do. It's a creature stat. But if you have the Ammo Cart all the shooters have unlimited shots. And the Medusa in H4 has Unlimited Shots as a special.

Yes of course...stupid me.. I guess what I meant to say was: is anything affecting the number of shots a creature has? I.e. If I have 20 elves will they have more shots ( as a whole) than 10 elves would?
Does it make any sense? what I'm saying.. :|
I've never heard of the Ammo Cart but it sounds like a must-have.. :)
Where can I see how many shots the different creatures have?

Just right click on them. There should be a Shots stat. And the Ammo cart is the only thing that affects the nr of shots a creature has.

Yeah. I forgot there isn't one in H4. Been playing too much H3 lately.

ammo cart would be broken, along with quicksand/water elemetal spells shooters would be able to beat a much bigger army of walkers.
I used to be indecisive, now I am not so sure...

Going back to the topic...

I like the elves/tigers, and try to get them both if I can (different builds in different cities, or from outside creature dwellings). Sometimes it's fun to play with ALL a faction's choices of armies.

voted medusa/minotaur
because of the very powerful power of the medusa.

also like the balista for his strenght, and the pikeman who has really great hability, but the ballista is to slow.

gold golem are extremly strong, and beholder are a pain!
