Since war machines are back, catapults cannot be creatures.

the barbarians would have bersekers/centaurs/nomads/harpies/rocs/cyclops/gnolls/catapults
The problem is that if the Nomads and Berserkers are human they're gonna make it another Human dominated town, thus having 3 human factions.
And the most annoying thing is that there is another human faction in the lore that worships the Dragon of Air (Free Cities), so they might do just that and have them be Mongol-like.

Also does anyone think we might get a Red - Ruby Dragon for the Fire worshiping faction?

yeah, thats why i put them last on the list, and why are war machines back?? oops forgot about h3 it doesn't make sense eveyone use the same 3 war machines that look the same, at least necropolis should use bone to make them.

personally i think barbarians should be good at war machines to compesate for their lack of magic and acadamy shouldn't have any war machines (maybe just the tent)
I used to be indecisive, now I am not so sure...

There was a proposal once that every faction attacks walls in a diferent way. Some would use war machines, others creatures.

war machines should be creatures, why should an army only bring one ballista and one catapult? they are no different to golems and other artificial constructs

@ Blaspeme: there are some nice ideas, but needs to be more balanced, also you need to check some wordings, i found this funny one:
When the top berserker is low on health the group does more damage than when they do when the top creature is healthy. So low HP means gruesome damage, and high HP means normal damage.
+
Berserkers do more damage when they are poisoned, blinded or under any other negative-effect.

@BenchBreaker

Why not? This would mean they suffer no penalty when attacked blinded, like other creatures do.

i thought as soon as you are attacked, the blind goes, and you can't actively attack when blinded

I'm thinking that the Faceless are a likely candidate for an expansion race.

Hmm Faceless...faceless where have I heard that before....there was something or someone called "The Faceless" in the free online game Guild Wars which I have played through, there was something about faceless in the lore, a guy a White Mantle knight (cant remember the name) etc that met this bright high beings that again aided him against the charr by encouraging his Kryta soldiers to fight them back in a final battle. The point is did Nival get inspiration from this?

Anyway Faceless as a faction? Nah I doubt that, a dwarf, orc and swamp town is more likely. But never say never ;)

Yeah I know but since the dark elves are representing them why should they include a faction which have close bonds with another? They would be to similar IMO to be best repesentated iduvidially. Unless do you have any idea about how the lineup of creatures, buildings should be? Good idea anyway ;)

So what if the Faceless are closely related to the Dark Elves. They could be completely different from each other and they don't have to remain allies forever. The Faceless are probably just using the Dark Elves, they probably have their own goals.

Well, all we know about the The Faceless about this point is that they're really powerful. For all we know, they could just be two wizards, so they could be markedly unsuited for an expansion race.

If I recall, Faceless were a race of creeps in Warcraft III, kinda octopus like (human body with tentacles placed above their mouth).

But I don't think this would be a good idea to place this kind of race in the Heroes universe.

PS: I think they should make Rocs a unit in a future barberian town. I really like those birdies, they could even throw in Thunderbirds...

The Faceless are the Dragon of Darkness' equivalent of the Angels, so they wouldn't work as a race. As a creature maybe.

As Air is taken by the humans of the Free Cities only Water and Fire are left for other towns, or town without Dragons, like the Orcs seem to bee based on the lore.

I'm pretty sure the Faceless were ripped off from Dungeons and Dragons, just like the rest of the Dark Elves.

Why couldn't the Faceless work as a race? Just because the Angels didn't take control of the human empire doesn't mean the Faceless didn't build an empire of their own. Only the high level creatures in a Faceless town actually have to be the Faceless, the rest could just be slaves or magical constructs.

Mostly because the Lore says they were almost wiped out by the Angels.
