MM 3-5 Music Compilation

Unread postby Kalah » 01 Feb 2012, 11:20

One of our members, Batlin, has put together a compilation of the music files from Might and Magic III through V. They were recorded from an old 486 with a Roland MT-32 sound card installed and are thus available in .mp3 format.

The music mostly sounds better than a standard AdLib or Sound Blaster. It might not be as good as what a fancier, more modern synthesizer can generate, but it is definitely something for retro gaming music lovers.

The compilation is available here, in a <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/mm_mus ... compressed .ZIP folder (56.2 MB).

MM 3-5 Music Compilation

This is cool, I will definitely download it. I never had a Roland in the day and I missed out on the better sound quality it offered. Some modern DOS emulators can really butcher retro game music.

This sort of stuff is what keeps the franchise alive. I doubt Ubisoft will mind - after all, the fans are their customers. :)

Yeah, that's why they never used DRM that screwed over fans while doing nothing to pirates...

And why they're all going after the perfectly legal (but not for long) 2nd hand market...
