Movement bug in MM6-7-8
Movement bug in MM6-7-8
Greetings, I tried to search for an answer to a little problem I have: It seems that whenever I try to walk north(ish) the party moves a LOT slower than when I walk in other directions, it also slightly veers to the left or right depending on facing.
Is there a way to fix this in VISTA? Other than making a virtual win 98 disk?
(Running the GoG version of MM7 by the way)

This is fixed in the new versions of my patches which I still haven't released. I hope to release them very soon, but in case I don't I can send you them.
My patches: MM6 MM7 MM8. MMExtension. Tools. Also, I love Knytt Stories and Knytt Underground. I'm also known as sergroj.
Dess, I'd need your email to send the updates for patches. I'd like you to test them, because you're the only one who encountered the bug while running.
What problem do you mean?thrakk wrote:I have decided not to play (and finally beat the game for the first time) until the permanent bonus well problem is taken care of.

I mentioned the permanent bonus well bug here:

It's a bug with the original game... not your patch
Anyways, if you are up for fixing it, that would be awesome
My 360 got the red ring of death recently when I decided to finally beat Oblivion. Now I don't have any first person RPGs to play.

Oh, that one is on the TODO list, but not in the upcoming version.

Why have you decided to play Oblivion on 360 instead of PC?thrakk wrote:My 360 got the red ring of death recently when I decided to finally beat Oblivion. Now I don't have any first person RPGs to play.

Building your own pc is a good Idea...
Especially if you are attending a college that is paying for the right for you to obtain free Operating system software for your computer(s).
It helps if you have taken some computer hardware classes etc...

Run as administrator
One thing that might be worth trying if you haven't already, is to run the game as administrator. I had the same issue MM6 and 7 (haven't tried 8 lately) on WinXP x64 originally, but the GrayFace patches fixed that - however, on Win7 there were still movement issues, but only if the game was run without administrator rights.
