Heroes V Mini Game Launches

Unread postby FantoMaxJM » 06 Apr 2006, 19:10

The whole site just crashed.. I guess they´ve taken it down for maintenance. I hope it´ll load much faster after that. :)
I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

Suddenly the site works like a thought! I guess they managed to move the game into a better server. :D

Yea, I've been waiting for a guy named Foolio to do something. If anyone knows this guy please tell him I've been waiting for 27 minutesfor him to make his orders so I can destroy him.

Sounds like you all get to do a lot more waiting than playing.

Looks like now it is completely dead. Mysql is not working anymore. Server overheated? Or only crashed?

I've got two:

1. Stick to the strengths table.
2. Damage done seems to be a function of relative stack strengths. For instance, 50 Blackies may kill 5 of 50 Titans, but the same Blackies may kill 10 of 25 Titans. I'm not sure if there is any randomness (as we have in the actual game).

Another one:
3. Finishing off a stack is the main idea. It gives bonus, and determines the winner.

The minigame is great!
I thing they have some server problems from time to time and that's why the game goes very slow or really stops. Most of the time the game goes well for me ;)
Judging the number of fights that took place in less than 5 days, the game is a very good one until H5 will be avalable.
I have one problem: I need more infos about the units and how the damage is calculated. Could this be found on the game site and I was not able to find it?

I keep getting smae guys who keep wanting to fight me when I so no. They have 150 guys and I have only 70. I comeout to field and they want to fight me again under 5 sec. I go back to town when I can to come out and they want to fight again. Is this points in making a guy stay in town?

Well, I'm up to 332451 in my vault with a 42000 army. I find that if you play within 30k-50k in army strength you can get more opponents and can fight more battles.

Anyone wanna fight?

Brag Time: 23 wins, 5 losses, 5 retreats.

After playing to a relatively high level (500k) I've discovered that the game has a critical flaw. Becuase players will have their armies decked out with the only the most expensive creatures by that time and the entire thing is built on rock paper scissors (flying strong vs inf/ranged, magic strong vs ranged/flying etc.) all that matters is the matchups of the highest level creatures. This means that, for instance, academy (titans - infantry) auto-loses to haven/dungeon/inferno (arch-angel/black dragon/arch-devil - flying). It's a little bit of fun for a little while, but gets stale very quickly at the top levels.
