the RPG started on the 17th of September 2006 with a core group of characters as follows:

Omega_Destroyer - Omega D. – Human Cleric
stefan.urlus - - Human Thief
Caradoc - - Human Fighter-MIA (also havn't heard from him for awhile)

and what a group it was! who can forget the early flight of dragons, the good looks of the thief, the nasty red dragon that cut short banedons brief yet fun filled existence, the fight in the grove, the superb skills of the thief, the showdown with the Highlord (uhhh .... Lady), the sojourn to Ravenloft, the adventures at Frostmourn, the fascinating and always humourously insightful quips by the thief .... fun times!

Mytical - you are a god to me, for the work and effort to create this and run with it so long, not just for the RPG itself, but also for the sideline rpg's that ran for months for me and DL (I'll thank you on his behalf) - they were so very great, in some ways better then the RPG itself (especially for my character ) - the enormity of the work in keeping it together and ontrack deserves recognition, and I'm very glad you got a knighthood partially for this.

OD, the unsung, much kudos for rolling with the story and making it your own, the style was different, the action intense - the ravenloft part was a masterpiece - thanks for your efforts in keeping things going when Mytical could not .... the longevity of this RPG here, is due in large part to your efforts

the main players, DL while he was here, was excellent as our leader, SWST as a player through - was always great, TT was a little in and out, but I heard he likes it like that .... Panda has been MIA on occasions but great when he was there .... the others that joined and really made it what it is/was .... winter - brilliant, Ceres - a tortured soul, loved your work, Elvin - your fury at the end was inspiring, Vlad - was awesome as the rough fighter, his verbal sparring with Saph in particular was a joy, OD for playing himself and any number of NPC's, Mytical for her masterful playing of the MPC's definately deserves a mention here as well, tMD - had a crack, got a little lost, had a little cry, is down with it!

This whole project was a massive undertaking, all of us who took part in it, should look back on it with a certain amount of pride, it was a great thing! and we made it so.

I'm sad to see it end here, along with the migration of OD and Ceres and winterfate who now mainly choose to spend their time at the HC (at least winter makes it back here regularly )

to answer OD's question, jaded maybe because I've been here from the start, and things were slowing down .... maybe i needed a break, jaded was probably a poor choice of word - nothing to do with the direction of the rpg

Great closing stefan, that was one legendary thread and without a summary it seemed cut short. Of course the story continues but you are missed This was my initiation in forum rpgs and has been good fun, thanks to all that participated.

Stefan and Sun are still alive and well (amazing isn't it? I think this is a record I've gone without killing someone off...), and waiting for you to take control of them. Why don't you join us? Plus there's Gladerion and M.E.G.A. You could join my insane warrior who believes chickens are out to kill us all, or Old Man, the immortal superhero who hates young kids these days.

Well, you'll have the distinction of being the only starter hero left. Everyone else has been killed off, banished, sealed away, or left for one reason or another.

To bring you quickly up to date: Moon is now the ruler of Frosthold, Mitsu killed the former king, Azagal (new guy from HC) was one of the king's protector's and is now in trouble with his order for failing, Onyx is Moon's chief advisor, Vlad and Saphire are still drunks, Jade is the captain of the guard, Elvin and Mitsu have set up traps all around the castle, Fate has been helping the soldiers with their archery, Blake (SWST) and Ceres have been studying arcania and have been training others, Omega and Topaz are sealed indefinitely. That's about where we are.
