Those are my favorite version of the HOMM dragons... they look just like they do in heraldry art.

In heroes II you see the Black Dragons as Kings of the sky among the mythical centaurs and minotaurs along with hydras in a sort of a fantasy city of myth-units but in HeroesIII they become dungeon dwellers and the hydras leave to Fortress(which SUCKS!) and the centaurs join the hippies. In Heroes IV they become simple spoiled baddies and the Warlocks are gone centaurs probebly gone from woodstock and to the Barbarians. Harpies(which are simply created to make you crazy in battle) have also joined the hordes so that leaves us all stuck in the same Troglodyte-pot. Heroes II dragons THANK YOU!
