Favourite faction in H4 - 2007
Favourite faction in H4 - 2007
The end of year is here and the time for restarting the poll has come. Since some people might have changed their minds and new members probably didn't notice the old poll, I see no reason to not re-start the poll.
So vote and lets see which nation wins the competition of 2007.

Voted for Order beacause Order is so beautiful and has such decent music.
Working on tracking the locations of Heroes IV battles. Stage 6 of campaign map finished, all initial Heroes IV campaigns mapped.

Haven/Life: Used to be my least favourite faction, but it has grown on me a lot. Blesses, tactics and angels... a pretty sweet combo! Champions are cool, too.
Necropolis/Death: I try not to choose/raise vampires when playing this faction. It makes it a lot more interesting. Very hard to choose between Bone Dragons and Devils, because I like them both.
Academy/Order: With good Order Magic spells, this faction is incredibly powerful. Recently I've been playing pure melee style - gold golems, nagas and dragon golems. Dragon Golems are fun, and are just as good as Titans.
Asylum/Chaos: It's fun playing with different combinations when I choose this faction. Black Dragons are too strong to pass up, but playing with Hydras is more fun!
Preserve/Nature: Even though I love Faerie Dragons, this faction is probably my least favourite faction. Not that this faction is bad, it's just boring to play it. I sometimes make weird choices when I build the creature portal to make things more interesting.
Stronghold/Might: Quantity over quality, yes! Probably not the strongest faction in the game, but damn fun playing! Although this is something rare in most of the maps, everyone should try this combo: Festival of Life (Grail) + Breeding Pens + Grandmaster Nobility... You get 9 Thunderbirds per week! In*friggin*credible!
It's hard to decide, really. I like them all equally. I'll be voting later...

That makes a lot of sense. So I voted Chaos, because it's so... Chaotic.HodgePodge wrote:I voted for Nature because it's so … Natural!

Considering that the H4 Necropolis is a mixture of Necro + Inferno are you really sure that it would be your favorite? The Mad Dragon wrote:I haven't played it, but I can tell you that Necropolis would be my favorite regardless of any other factions.
NOTE: Necro would have been my favorite if they didn't have the mixed units.

Nature.
For 2nd would be Chaos (just because hydra's there )
Nature is quite balanced with many useful magic and elements of surprise.
Death is ridiculously imbalance because of their building structure and stupid necromancy.
Order is also imbalance because of the nature of their magics.
Life is rather plain & ordinary.
Might is pretty straightforward, but in the long run, playing without magic would diminish some enjoyments.
Chaos is fun, but drain their resources awfully fast.

Vote Nature, they just have the most flavour. Life would be second pick since I adore Life Magic so much. Some years ago I would've picked Might without a second thought, but csarmi convinced me otherwise
I'm a hypocrite because I suggested that all life is sacred and should not be wasted without good reason.
How Mister Rushmap convinced you?Banedon wrote:Vote Nature, they just have the most flavour. Life would be second pick since I adore Life Magic so much. Some years ago I would've picked Might without a second thought, but csarmi convinced me otherwise
Voted Haven by the way, their only real weakness is no easy access to pathfinding and I like their style (not music though).

I think what finally pushed me to vote for Nature was that it has the best-looking heroes and heroines. Life and Order have a few too, but the Life women look so stupid on the battlefield and every time I see those Order Lords waggling their bottoms, I just crack up. Nearly all the Chaos heroes are downright ugly; I quite llke some of the Death heroes, but I always feel Death has an unfair advantage with necromancy, so I prefer them as the enemy. Might heroes are also worse looking than they were in H3: I think there's only Shiva and Dogwoggle who I can identify with at all.
