Tribes has a Demo

Ubisoft has decided to do some more advertisement for Tribes of the East. As the expansion is a stand alone product and not requiring the original game, they made a demo version of it. You will be able to try the orcs out for free on 27th of September. Keep your eye on Fileplanet servers! Beside possibility to play with orcs, the content and limits of the demo are currently unknown.

Just to avoid any confusion, the Reserve option at FilePlanet is for paying customers only (it allows you to download the demo automatically as soon as it becomes available). But you can visit the site next Thursday and download the file without paying any money.

I hate fileplanet... ever since the merger with IGN Gamespy's sucked. Any alternatives?

A demo! Not as good as getting the game, but beggars can't be choosers. I hope it's better than the H5 one and we can play a few maps with the Orcs.

I'll be sure to get it, it will ease the wait till 12 October. Besides during this time I'll be free so any distraction helps :)

I don't have a Fileplanet account, and don't want to pay just to download a demo. Is there anywhere else I can look?
