How to include TXT back into H3bitmap?

Unread postby Artas1984 » 30 Jun 2007, 15:08

I am now editing some TXT files in H3bitmap and once i will be done, i would like to return those TXT files and replace the old TXT ones with new TXT ones. Is there a way to include TXT back to H3bitmap?

Sure, in mapeditor load the map and pick file > import text.

For success you must keep the format.

What you mean import txt in mapeditor?:disagree:

What's mapeditor got to do with it? 8|
I have tried that and it was denied.

Anyway, i am not about mapediting you know, i want to imort txt file into H3bitmap. :|

Maby it is somehow possible with texteditor or reseditor, although there are no import options, only export...

ups sorry I overlooked. Was a bit curious as it wasn't giving me too much sense.

So, resedit or bitlib would be fine.

Resedit is having file manager, look through menus and you will findd it, after you drag and drop files one by one you also need to confirm the changes by clicking on the modify icon, it's yellow and it will appear after you do some changes.

PS second one is better.

Which version of Reseditor do you mean?

I also forgot to tell that i am having some msk and pcx files including into H3sprite and H3bitmap too, so i hope Reseditor will do.

My version is 1.9, but it seems it does not have what it needs ;|

That's something else what you have (according the version number is similar utility from A K Zyzop which is not resedit), this is only viewer. Furhermore if you wish to insert some other files you may try bitlib instead. Because bitlib know command how to rebuild lod archive. Resedit is causing errors in that case, sometimes. (So you are playing few turns and get memory ble ble error)

No lod editor will create the mask (msk) for you, mostly I get the file of the same dimension (same count and shape of squares) and pair the mask from it. (Although here exists one utility from Bourne, but mask created from here are often too big and is having occasional problems with other errors)

sources:
bitlib - simple but powerful dos lod editor
resedit - the classic one, ver. 40.00 from Alexander Karpeco
I suppose that you have already other tools, like deftool, defview ala defedit, defmaker and many others.

You may look for tools in the place of first link, or to the wogmaparchives2, use my www link to get a shortcut here. Or you may also try www.wogforever.narod.ru - but only with some russian-english translator, like is altavista babelfish or google.

Hmm... particullary, here is also existing resedit 30.00 from the same autor which is older. But because all this stuff is old I would say that it doesn't meant anything. This 40.00 is the last version. (or bitlib)

I'm planning to put all h3soft on one place once. Right now part it's here. And rest in the groups. Mostly this one and then wog (use menu for navigation and read news for way to portrait guide).

Dunno, now I think that bitlib wasn't released for public, so I uploaded for you a lodedit, under familiar name h3lods, it's in my first link anyway.
