Yes, only the first campaign is directly linked to the main story. However, Kilgor is the one who wields the Armageddon's Blade during the HoMM4 intro.

Armageddon's Blade

I just have a question about the expansions. What is the difference between Heroes III and Heroes III Restoration of Erathia? You listed them as seperate games in the maps section but i dont see RoE in the expansion section.

Restoration of Erathia (a.k.a. RoE) is the subtitle of Heroes of Might and Magic III, the core game. It's not an expansion.

Armageddon's Blade

Unread postby Sandro123 » 15 Feb 2006, 19:18

After the first campaign, Cathrine entrust gelu with the Armageddon's blade he freaked out, Tarnum tried to stop him from getting the Sword of Frost so that the ancient prophesy does not fulfill, but he couldn't. Gelu is the one who got in battle with Kilgor, which led to the destruction of Heroes world we so well knew and we then entered the world of Lore.

But how did Kilgor end up with the Sword of Frost?123

Don't you play Kilgor in 'Festival of Life'? That AB Campaign tells how he got the Sword of Frost, I think.

To othniel:

No, that campaign tells just how he became the King of Krewlod.

In one of Heroes Chronicles game you see how he got the blade.

In the Armageddons Blade the first mission with Gelu(or Catherine let's say its Gelu)there is occassionally lied to you how to win the mission! The Kreegans are on the south-coast and you are supposed to fight a guerilla war against them. What i did was to attack the kreegans directly in the beginning of the game.(after failing a hundred times using the strategy i was supposed to)in like two months i won without capturing the conflux with a bunch of artifacts!

gelu had the blade since the kreegan campaign. he sailed to Vori, to the city voril to get the sword of frost. tarnum and his dungeon army holds him back along with the azure dragons. kilgors wife kija goes for the sword and is nearly killed in the effort by tarnum, tho he spares her. gelu finds the sword, and tarnum, and they do some sick power battle. gelu loses, and when tarnum looks to the sword again its gone, stolen by kija. the action that made tarnum spare her meant the end of the world
