Week of forgery

Unread postby Blaze85 » 26 Feb 2007, 21:50

I've just realized that it was worth buying unupgraded creatures and then upgrade them on the week of forgery. This way half of the upgrade cost can be spared compared to buying the upgraded units.

As a related topic, I see that the dwarves are again priviledged by these weeks of smth, as no week special includes them.

I'm talking about the weeks where certain factions receive bonuses or penalties...

I guess this is another slipout from our beloved game developpers...

I thought the same thing. This was actually one of the first things I checked out when the expansion was released.

They took the time to add the ones that double the unit's growth, but forgot to add the special ones that affect the faction as a whole.

I noticed that too...
Hm...I wonder why Nival doesn't just cut the 50% up front? (so you don't have to buy the unupgraded units and upgrade them manually)

Because that would require common sense on their part.

Are you sure about that? I thought they just forget to update the text, I remember a week when all good factions had penalties for luck and morale and I recieved bad luck quite often... but then again, I just may have had it for some other reasons.

Maybe, it is intentional... some races are good, some are evil, maybe dwarves are neutral and recieve neither bonuses nor penalties (from weeks).

Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of weeks like Calm, Feebleness, Idleness, Infirmity, Light, & Sorrow that specifically target certain factions and not others. There is nothing like that affects the Fortress faction.

Maybe it was just an oversight on Nival's part (there's something new) and they just didn't update the text. I honestly never bothered to check when these weeks came up and I was playing as the Dwarves.
