And the Hydras too... Heck, for H6 all towns should be made up of six <insert species> plus one dragon, even the factions that hate dragons.Jagiello wrote:i think warlock (dark elves) should lose minotaurs

Yeah, we all know that elven physiology is such that the females would be bored to death without minotaur slaves...DaemianLucifer wrote:Yup,they should, but no they wont.

Both of them had an evil/monstrous nature and had an association of sorts with caves. The Lernaian Hydra lived in a cave by a swamp and the minotaur in a labyrinth. It's more than fitting and it has become a tradition anyway.Of course I wouldn't mind seeing a new combination but these are where they belong.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

I'd need more details to be convinced. Bluntly, it sounds like a bad idea -- maybe worse than the Naga town. Minotaurs are just not interesting enough to warrant adding 12 more types of them to the game.

Caradoc: If you're talking about the fact that beholders are AD&D creatures...then AD&D should've sued eons ago (Rakshasas ARE from AD&D; irritating as they are I might add, as they could cast spells ).

I share caradoc's point on this one. I would add that i can't really see the minautors as a civilisation, even mixed with some other cratures, they don't have the background for it. I see em more like they are now, some brutal and not very smart creature, enslaved by others.Caradoc wrote:I'd need more details to be convinced. In the other hand i would agree and even enjoy to see some other type of minautor in an other army.

Oooh, a new plot twist for Nival to consider … the Minotaurs have decided they are tired of being slaves to those heartless Dark Elves and stage an uprising. Forming their own alignment, some renegade Hydras join forces and are met up with their old pals, the Manticores (who have already made their appearance in HoF).
Next, while fumbling through the cavernous underground, they come across a band of motley Evil Eyes & Troglodytes, who are looking for a gang of warriors to fight with. While searching for a place to call home, they meet up with some Serpent Flies & Lizardmen. The Serpent Flies are gladly welcomed because they can use their little firefly bulbs to light up the underground … and of course the Lizardmen are welcome because they have knowledge of bows and arrows.
They all capture an ill-guarded Dungeon and change it into a Swamp Town. No new Dragons are needed as the lizard-like Hydras are the new king of the hill or hole or bog or whatever.
Of course, another alignment would mean more neutral creatures too; so Nival could "introduce" Wyverns, Basilisks & those Gorgon Bovines.
Whaddya think??

Wyverns are extinct As for the rest, hydras are mostly tamed beasts, thus wouldnt "join" anyone just as horses wouldnt join anyone in particular.Plus there is no unity through race, thus it wont happen.HodgePodge wrote: Of course, another alignment would mean more neutral creatures too; so Nival could "introduce" Wyverns, Basilisks & those Gorgon Bovines.
Oh,and I decided to open a 10th circle for anyone who mentiones those wicked, sinful,or whatever eyes instead of a beholder,so just keep on doing that

Mostly, my idea(s) for the new Minotaur Town and plot twist was meant to be "tounge-in-cheek". Of course, Nival hasn't ever listened to the fans' ideas before, so why would they start now.DaemianLucifer wrote:Wyverns are extinct As for the rest, hydras are mostly tamed beasts, thus wouldnt "join" anyone just as horses wouldnt join anyone in particular.Plus there is no unity through race, thus it wont happen.HodgePodge wrote: Of course, another alignment would mean more neutral creatures too; so Nival could "introduce" Wyverns, Basilisks & those Gorgon Bovines.

And as for them "introducing" wyrvens or basilisks or those Death-Staring Bovines … all these creatures were originally in Heroes III so they wouldn't be "introducing" anything new at all. That's the joke.
Oh, and by the way, I'm completely immune to 10th circles!

None of the names you mentioned were invented by D&D, unlike Ilithid (maybe, i'm not sure)... so no chance of a suit.winterfate wrote:Caradoc: If you're talking about the fact that beholders are AD&D creatures...then AD&D should've sued eons ago (Rakshasas ARE from AD&D; irritating as they are I might add, as they could cast spells ).
