I think they look really cool. Perhaps the manticore could have different colours, but there's nothing serious to complain about.

The head of the manticore is ugly, while the rest of its body looks really great. Too bad.

And I agree, this mummy is probably the best looking of all mummies in any HoMM.

It looks like a mixture of gorilla and baboon. Nothing too bad. At least it doesn't look like furry humanoid snow-thingy. But we'll probably never see it in the game, or at least not until the next expansion, so who cares.

About the manticore:
According to the description from Wikipedia

The manticore is a legendary creature, a kind of chimera with the head of a man — often with horns, gray eyes, three rows of iron teeth [...]

the HOMMV manticore looks quite good. Of course it's ugly, but in a positive sense.

forget the colors, its the manticore's face im worried about. it looks like it ran straight into a brick wall at full speed...

The body and face is alright but the colours are a bit too cartoony.Yes it is ugly but that's as close as can be to the legend of manticore:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manticore
