HOF: C2 The Guerrillas:Need Help

Anyone else having problems with this mission?

I rescue the hero from the prison, clear his path and get 50 berserkers.

I get the red key, get the 30 brawlers(?) from the underground and then go for the town in the upper left corner.

Here I don't stand a chance, the hero here has a bigger army and a higher level than me.

Am I missing something?

Yes, you're missing the rest of the map

What I mean in that is that nobody is rushing you to take the town, you can take your time, buff up on the (quite big) map, gather troops etc. And when you're ready go for the town.

BTW, when I fought this battle the ai behaved very strange. It wouldn't leave the castle with its troops first. When his shooters were dead it just stayed there (when I sent something to attack him then he would fight like normal). But this could be easily exploited to finish him earlier.

Do you recommend killing the enemy patrolling in the underground to get his arties?

Up to you. Not sure whether he has artifacts or not, since I didn't kill him and easily took the town anyway .
