Can anyone answer? Can there be more than 8 towns? The check map feature will show "There are more than 8 Towns" and I want to know if this could prevent the map from showing up on the ingame Custom map list. What map making problem would cause your map not to be listed?

1. saved to maps folder
2. searched and read a lot of posts here
3. clicked include multi map function
4. used check map funtion in editor
a. It would be nice if editor could suggest a possible solution.

Have not seen a topic on edited maps not showing up on Game List. Would like to see a list of known problems that would prevent your map from being recognized by the game.

I'm experimenting on the 8 towns thing. Last time I tried my map had 9 towns and was playable, so it shouldn't interrupt from showing. I think none of the errors you get while trying to save stop the map from showing, they're just there as a reminder that some things might be incorrect (I've got a wizard town floating above a river in my map, errors for this keep popping up, but it does work fine).

Under map properties go to player properties and check how you have the settings for each player.

Check your towns on the map and make sure how they are set up.

Your problem is most likely in one of those places.

Having more than 8 towns will not cause the problem. I am playtesting my map, a "too big for you" map with more than 8 towns and there is no problem.
