Re: Might and Magic 6, 7, 8 merge based on mm8 engine.
Artifacts growing in power tied absolutely to your level is no fun, artifacts growing dramatically in "power" levels as you use them (because they eat souls or whatever) - is quite fun on the other hand. I don't remember too much of MM6/7, but I can certainly say that MM8 suffers from bein...

Re: Might and Magic 6, 7, 8 merge based on mm8 engine.
Doing a manual pass of the entirety of the three games to make them progressions of eachother would be the obviously "best" solution, the problem there being a massive workload, alongside a tough decision to make if one sets out to do so; 1) You can have the pleasure of editing almost the ...

Looks like the "texture not found" texture, so whatever it's trying to access with that operation isn't returning a defined graphic.

Re: Should You Convert Walking Dead and Wights to Skeletons
It depends on what you're going to employ in the two empty spaces left by doing that.
Split archangel stacks? Of course.
Nothing? Why bother wasting precious meatshields?

Re: mm7) Plate vs dodging vs unarmed GM effect
Worth noting is that the quicksave feature in GrayFace's patched versions is extremely useful for getting top-tier items from item crafters.. So useful that you'll probably only ever want to do it once because you'll be completely decked out in just about the best possible items very early into the ...

Re: MM7 Walls of Mist Question
Look at the bright side, at least you're not playing with that one mod that multiplies the amount of enemies while on the light side. The reason I say that is because the game inevitably crashes due to an overabundance of objects flying all over the damn place. :^D 4 or so scrolls of invisibility ca...

Re: Taking lessons from Heroes 3
The solution to statistical improbabilities fucking everything up is setting up points where you are guaranteed a stat increase, like level 4 and 7 being guaranteed spellpower for a wizard, alongside level 2 and 10 being knowledge.

Re: Taking lessons from Heroes 3
Power disparity - and thus progression - is definitely a very important thing, and also why I've for some reason always felt that even the most powerful level 7 creatures in H3 were somewhat lacking in sheer firepower. There's just something very satisfying about single units being able to crush doz...

Completely off-topic, but god damn; quotes break the forum layout pretty damn hardcore with javascript disabled.
And seemingly only if it's the last post that has a quote??

Re: So is this game worth buying?
This game also runs extremely buggy, laggy, even on my desktop with arguable best graphic in the market, 295x2 The R9 295 is only as good as the crossfire profile for the game; which would be just about nonexistent for a title as new and H7 with AMD's slow as molasses driver releases. Try disabling...

Re: Normalizing the Conflux
Conflux is generally a really bad town; it starts off well with sprites being great, air elementals that are amazing and water elementals that are quite OK but extremely burdensome on your gold resources. It then takes a nosedive straight into terrible as fire elementals are weak as hell; they're fr...

Making an FPS game in 30 days is great fun . <TerminusEst13> Bloax: Yo would you be all right with doing some kind of "save here" statue? Maybe a crucifix, or a broken down/busted statue of Mary or Jesus or something. Gonna plop statues next to boss doors so that players can save right be...

I can see why. It's a truly bizarre setting, and very much reminiscent of what 'could have been' if you let the original Might and Magic setting get off the chain and go crazy.
Boohoo, console exclusives though.

Kalah, I saw the video and you get about 15 fps in adventure map! He's recording (and running the game, no less!) at 1080p with a low-end GPU that would do well with being replaced with one like mine . (Admittedly the 250 GTS performs better than my old-ass 9800 GT :v) There's absolutely no surpris...

I never liked the mentality some of the design team has had that HoMM battles are/should be like chess. It doesn't make any sense. RAARGH! I wonder if that's why there are square tiles. :| I don't really get the appeal of chess, and I say that as someone who is extremely good at strategy game...
