I think a steep learning curve fends of new comers like myself. I have played HOMM3 and I'm playing HOMMV now. I quite playing HOMM3 because I seem to utterly suck at it. I have the same problem. Being somewhat new to HOMMV, I struggle with the inferno campaign mission 3. I don't have problems with neutrals much except with some elementals. It seem that if I attack early I take to many casualties with elementals guarding the way and if I hold back to build up my army...
