The Nomads' retreating ability can be really useful against slow moving stacks - in theory at least. Marauders have the edge on stats though.

I've committed some serious mayhem with Inferno vs Necropolis. Eat the corpses before they get raised, use the Pit Fiends to blast the ranks and then teleport them in to mop up (I'm very fond of Grok). I often have defence and luck skills, so my damage dealing and soaking is pretty good.

I tend to sit back for a few rounds and let my ranged and magic attacks whittle the enemy down. Destruction and Dark magic slow and hurt the enemy, while Light magic improves my initiative and attacks. I devote about 2/3 of effort to increasing strangth and 1/3 to compensating for weakness.

Like a lot of people have said, tactics do vary depending on which faction you're playing. I try to avoid any obvious weaknesses and use the hotseat multiplayer to try out different strategies.
