Elven Legacy (Fantasy TBS Q1/2009)
A new TBS game has just been announced, that might be of interest to those on this forum. Once again, it is made in Russia (which TBS game isn't these days?) and it looks a lot like the recent "Fantasy Wars" to me (which was also a Russian game). The announcement is here: http://www.parado...

I played the demo and that was enough for me to decide not to play the full game. It plays more like a 3D version of Panzer General in a fantasy setting than Heroes of Might and Magic, as all the scenarios are completely hex-based. Some of them are very large and have an overwhelming number of units...

Re: Read 'em and weep, folks...
My collection is quite similar. If you haven't tried them, I'd recommend you look for Sacrifice and Overlord. Since our tastes seem similar, and I highly enjoyed them, maybe I can entice you to lengthen that list. Oh, and Sins of a Solar Empire. While I do not own a copy of Sacrifice, I did...

The key to winning with Freyda is her special ability. If you cast a spell from the light school with Freyda, one of her enemies will be smitten with the Divine Vengeance spell (which is incredibly damaging and will probably kill hundreds of creatures at a time). I lost this battle multiple times, b...

Tribes of the East → To Honor our Fathers → Fath
You do not actually have to fight the huge stack of Titans to reach the area they guard. If you sail down the river that is below this area, you will encounter a group of fire elementals fighting a group of water elementals. You can destroy any one of these and the other elementals will promise to h...

I do not think that Rolf's army grows, so if all else fails, you can just wait a while before facing him and build up more troops in your Academy (you did summon your city didn't you?). You should also have two cities underground (the one you start with and the one in the NW corner), so you can get ...

I did have some trouble with that fight, so I decided to trade in Logistics (no need to get around quickly anymore) and Summoning Magic (Banish was not half as effective as I wanted it to be versus the gated troops) for Luck and Light Magic (Master of Abjuration, Master of Wrath, Eternal Light). Thi...

You visit him and you can forget any skill even the ones your hero has by default or racial skills for a fee (2500 or 3500g iirc). This is not entirely true. While a hero can indeed lose some of the skills he starts with, he can NEVER unlearn the basic level of his racial skill. Let's take the Barb...
