- Gamasutra has an article on Electronic Arts' sales predictions for the holiday season: "Though it declined to give precise figures, EA suggested that the company had seen weaker game sales in November, and saw those continuing into December." The game industry giant has also acquired Jamdat Mobile and established itself in the mobile gaming market. Jamdat created mobile phone versions of EA titles such as Need for Speed and Madden.
- The new issue of The Escapist has been out for a couple of days. Why We Fight, by John Tynes, ponders on his motivations as an action gamer: "If you made a charnel pit of all my varied dead, from the flickering pixel-men of that long-ago castle to the latest normal-mapped shrapnel victims, it might blot out the sun. Such is the magnitude of my carnage." Who said gamers can't be poets?
- Age of Heroes has a rough translation of a new (?) question and answer session with Dmitry Estrin from Nival. "Is it possible to break buildings in the town? No. This is not Heroes-like!" Another poor soul who never tried the Wake of Gods.
- The Teach me how to play fortress thread is just great. It certainly beats anything you can find in the Heroes III Prima strategy guide. And it shows that experienced players such as Banedon are still trying to learn new things after all these years. As for myself, I gave up trying to win with the lousy swamp town a long time ago!
