Quantomas AI
Quantomas AI started as a project of competitive AI for Might & Magic: Heroes V. It's actively developed by Dr. Stefan Gollasch and you can join his Discord group to discuss. Ofc, you can also download it, it's distributed with recent version of Legends of the Ancients (LotA)and cooperates also withXuxo's graphic mod GEM.
Quantomas (Discord):
"The AI I have developed in the last decade is post-search, i.e. it doesn't use simple tree-based lookahead. It's capable of abstraction and can mirror human high level concepts, i.e. grasping tough defense + destructive spells and summoning hybrid tactics. It also can play to win (if possible) or maximizing casualties of the opponent. So it is quite versatile and will adapt.
The problem is rather that implementing everything that it takes to bring this AI to H5 will take something like six months, full-time 80 hours weeks, which I simply don't have these days. Doesn't make sense to work piecemeal on something like this, so it has to wait."
"It's truly generic. I have a website that describes its scope, though it's in German only. (https://www.teslaminds.de/). I don't do marketing for it, it's mostly a business card.
In principle it is an AI system that you can use to realize all building blocks for any type of control system, regardless how complex. E.g. for an autonomous vehlcle, a factory, or an entire city. So technically you model your subject similar to an abstract model that you develop as a computer scientist. And then you tell the AI the criteria how the behaviour of the entire enitity should be optimized. This could be anything from sustainability, energy-efficiency, ideal traffic flow, to more abstract criteria like quality of live. The main difference to current approaches, e.g. machine learning, is that you create the AI directly. You don't need large super-computers to train neural networks and such things. So in theory the entire AI controlling a huge city, like the new mega-city proposed in Saudi Arabia, could run on a few PCs.
So it's vastly more efficient and the tech is IMHO decades ahead of what others can do these days.
But it is hard to convince people of this AI, so I instead develop a strategy game as a showcase for this AI."
