Sorceress/Druid hero evolution
Yeah, I know that in H4 there is a sorcerer/sorceress but she counts more as a Warlock than sorceress really, being aligned with evil Chaos magic. And as far as I know H5's hero is a ranger. This is strictly for nature loving, forest dwelling magic users.
H1 Sorceress. Extra movement on water
H2 Sorceress. Starts with Basic Wisdom, Advanced Navigation and the Bless spell.
H3 Druid (As an argument for its inclusion, Gem is a sorceress turned druidess)
H4 Druid
H4 Druidess

One of my favorite all-time heroes was Alexandra the Great (Agraynel)... I must vote H4 Druidess...
"Rage against the system, the system, what kills the human spirit."
I don't like H2 one at all. Horse looks better than woman riding her.
H1 Sorceress on the other hand looks rather pretty while the horse is not as good as in H2.
H3 Druidess is ok. Warddrobe seems rather bland but that's fitting for druids in general.
H4 Druidess (I'm not going to vote for male) looks pretty much perfect. The rainbow colors while casting bring up nice contrast to her outfit. Only bad thing really is the animation or lack of it but that's the problem in all NWC's HoMMs.

Seems normal to me, it means that they are faster navigating to the point perhaps?

From examining the data files I have reason to believe there was going to be a Sorceress model for Gem in Heroes III. This deleted text event from the New Beginning campaign is named "Black Hair (Deleted Unless Gem gets her horse)":
Just for this, my vote goes to the raven haired Enrothians (Heroes II).One of my Centaurs approached me while we were setting up camp.
"My Lady Gem," he asked "Why is it your hair turns black before and during a battle?"
The question took me by surprise. I stared at him for a moment. He fidgeted and began to back away. "I didn't mean to..."
I laughed. "No, it's alright. I guess you wouldn't know. Where I come from, most of the Sorcerers are raven haired." Seeing confusion in his eyes, I explained, "It's just to confuse our enemies. So it's harder for observers to tell which Sorcerer is actually on the field. Of course, there aren't any other Sorcerers that I know of in Antagarich."
I had to laugh at the look in his eyes. Clear as mud obviously. But I didn't get any more questions about my hair.

On that note, did you ever work this one out?Undead Half Orc wrote:Corlagon, I also viewed this dummy event, quite interesting. There are quite a few dummy events in other campaigns too, like Christian's campaign in AB.

Voted for the HoMM II gal. Brings back so many memories.
But the others are also up there somewhere, except (as almost always) HoMM III.
P.S.: A clearer and more straightforward image of the HoMM IV druid would probably be better. Especially with the male, I had to look for almost a minute to unscramble which body part was where.

Voted for H3 Druid.
Gem is unique in Heroes III for her character is listed as a Sorceress in her AB campaign called "A New Beginning" whereas in single scenario maps she is called a Druid.
Although I went with Heroes III, there's something fascinating about H4's North American Indian style. Quite fitting for Nature's theme.

Don't worry if things are going badly today. They will be much worse tomorrow.

I go with H3. Simple, earth colours, blonde hair - that's pretty much how a sorceress/druidess should look like, imo.
I also like H1, and to a lesser extent, H2, for the fairytale looks. H4's American Indian style is also very fitting for its faction.
All in all, I don't really dislike any of the hero models in the NWC games.

I maintain nonetheless that yin-yang dualism can be overcome. With sufficient enlightenment we can give substance to any distinction: mind without body, north without south, pleasure without pain. Remember, enlightenment is a function of willpower, not of physical strength.
