HoMM clone project!

Unread postby danijel1990 » 12 Apr 2007, 06:18

Ok, this is not actually a HoMM game, but we are making a HoMM clone, so we will use the same resources as in HoMM(gold, ore, wood, crystal, gem, mercury, sulfur),
same amount of tiers in towns. 7 creatures+upgrades. (there will be even level 8 and level 9 creatures but they will not be able to buy or get (unless they want to join you which is pretty unlikely).
There will be 5 factions (or towns, races or whatever you like to call them).
2 of them will be good, 2 evil and 1 neutral.
First we have Humans who are, well good (something like Castle in HoMM 3), then we have Wizards who are also good (Wizard is a good magician, so).
Then we have two evil factions: Barbarians and Necromancers.
And one neutral faction are the Elves who live in peace and harmony with nature etc :) you get the idea. (they will be something like Rampart in HoMM 3)
More info will come soon

PS. Oh yes, I almost forgot, the game is called Broken Alliance: Heroes of the Lost Lands http://www.brokenalliance.ucoz.com

I see...not bad danijel!
I applaud your initiative...I think the storyline is kind of cliched though...
The plot, as it is now, is similar to Heroes 3: Armageddon's Blade.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys do with this though! :-D

Thanks for the applause. Maybe you can help us winterfate, u know something about 2d graphics?
Where are you people, post opinions, ideas... This is one of rare projects that WILL NOT die... We are those kind of people who don't give up. If we speed up with the project (next month, I'll have more free time, so I can focus on project) I think (so just my opinion, not the official statement of a leader) we will finish this game early next year.

So, you are somewhat related to that Broken Alliance?

Yeah, I joined this project in march. But I didn't know he already made a thread. I didn't find it (I mean, if it's in campfire, there are a lot of pages, and I didn't thought it was there :baby: ).
