The Birthday Thread!

Couldn't help myself .

I had opened a poll a few weeks back about creating a Birthday Thread. Since my birthday is near, I decided to open the thread.

Basically you can post your birthdate and stuff about birthdays (it is a birthday thread after all).

I'll start:

My birthday is February 23. I was born in 1988 (which makes me 19 on that fateful day ).

I haven't had a birthday party since...ever...but I'm ok with that.

So, feel free to post birthday things here!

P.S: How dare I forget? We haven't formally celebrated CH's rebirth day . Someone bring the cake!

OK, here goes:

In the US, you're an adult at 18. Here in Puerto Rico, you're a minor until 21. So, in the US I'm an adult and over here I'm a minor.

Well, if I remember correctly, I had one when I was three (but that's lost in the fuzz of toddler memories ).

Well, stefan was ahead of me, with a birthday cake nicer than the one I was about to post.

Now *cough* what can I say? You just missed my birthday (10th). Only I am 10 yearls ol... wiser :p than winterfate.

Reading the above, I'm kinda ashamed to admit how many birthday parties I had... this year only. To be honest, that's kinda unheard of winterfate. No birthday parties? Where do you leave? Or is it a religious thing or sth? - hope you don't mind me asking.

Zamolxis: No, I don't mind. And no, it isn't religion related either.

Basically, what happens is that my family is me, my mom and dad (and the family dog ). Thus, I don't have birthday parties per se. My dad buys the cake and we celebrate my birthday as a family (with no one else showing up). I've been to many birthday parties though .

@stefan: Perhaps I'll have one for my 21st (I could imagine a few places I'd like to go to ).

I think I had a party every year upto my 18th, then a blinder of a 21st, and a great 30th party last year

lots of fun was had, no I'm experiencing little kids birthday parties, best thing about them is all the yummy food on offer! Fairy bread anyone?

Thanks a lot Scarlett. That's really a great cake.

And don't worry. Your wish really doesn't come late or anything. With a big surprise party the w/e before my birthday w/friends even from abroad, a 2nd one in the family this w/e, my wife telling me yesterday evening her present is yet to come (hope she didn't mean in 9 months :p), and a bday celebration today at work... I guess I'm still in my birthday fortnight - so no worries - bday wishes are never too late or too soon.
