I am undecided. First I thought no, as my computer isn't a top-notch one (but now I keep hearing the performance is better in HoF), Also the regular one is already killing my social life... But I have to admit I am tempted. The abilities seem very intriguing. Yesterday i asked from my neighbouring game-shop when will Hammers of Fate arrive there. You know, I was just curious... B-)

Yes , I am I am awaiting its arrival from Amazon.ca. I amgoing through the original campaigns for about the fourth time, whilst I am waiting. I am enjoying these campaigns just as much as I did the first time. The heroes of Might and Magic are the only games I play.

I bought it right away and am very glad I did. There are some problems, but there are also lots of good additions. I can't think of an expansion where I got so much for the money.
Before you criticize someone, first walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes.

I'll probably get it sometime over holiday break.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

I second that.

Oh,and saying your oppinion on the game, wheter good or bad,is on topic here.Complaining about others oppinions is pure spam and has no place here.
DL: Let me get this straight (please correct me if I'm wrong) You have stated countless times that you DO NOT care for HoMMV. Correct? But, you like the series, I'm to assume that means, HoMMI-IV?

So, why in the world do you live & I mean live in the HoMMV forum? I disagree is regards to questioning a person that sleeps @ his computer & doesn't like HoMMV, yet continues to bash HoMMV! That's not Spam! Also...I take up a whole lot less then you do in these boards!

Yes...DL, you have every right to post your nonsense here, but I don't see why you bother. As I mentioned before, you must be boored stiff!

PS: You can't play HoMMV now, you have backed yourself in a corner! We'll all flame-you for actually buying the game & posting (maybe) positive threads!

Quantity has nothing to do with quality. So what if I have 10000 posts?More than have are not spam. And you are wrong when you say I live in HV forum, because most of my posts are in campfire :devious:

Aww.... I thought you are always "busy" playing games. :-D

Anyway, I'll buy for sure and if the Silver edition comes out earlier, then I may consider getting that copy instead of purely HoF set.

The truth is that, with a fan site, you spend more time writing about a game than actually playing it.

I was anxious to get it than when I started reading the forums about it, I am now undecided.. I was hoping to hear some great feedback on big improvements, gameplay, the new editor, documentation, etc. but from what I've read, it sounds like another rushed, no testing game put out like the original. Maybe one of my kids or grandkids will get it for me for xmas but right now I am not too anxious to shell out the green stuff. It's a shame Nival or whoever they get to write the manual, didn't use the fan made manual they adopted for the original as a guide for the manual for the expansion but I guess maybe they know the same fans that wrote the last one will write one for expansion, after all it saves them time and money and we thought Nival was dumb!!!! ;)

Well, I think HoF is a great add-on. As the major improvements comparing with the original game I'd note new dwarf race, lovely caravans, units accumulating in dwellings outside towns, and a lot more interesting scenarios. I haven't tried the RMG yet so that's secondary for me. HoF has been released just this week so give it a time. :) Unfortunately there is no AI improvement.

I bought it because I'm a diehard fan of the Heroes series (why else would I have bought an american edition import to the UK so I could get Wake of Gods to work) and because its nice to see the dwarves in to balance things.

Is it really true, that talk about a better performance with the add-on? If there's a noticeable improvement, I'm going out to the store now.

No idea about the performance - both original H5 and the addon run on my comp flawless.
