New addition... there are three objects that will not be sold in this auction that were in my original list. So while my original list should drop from 170 to 167, I have decided to substitute two objects into the auction. When the next lot comes up that should only have nine items, I will substitute in the first object. For those of you who are curious... Parchment was scheduled for Lot#5 and Scroll was scheduled for Lot #6 so they will each be replaced by a "substitute item."

NEW RULE!!!! Anyone who has won a bid in the first five lots will be getting a $5000 bonus!!! The 5000 bonus will be available in lot #4 for anyone who has bought at least one item in the auction!

Everyone involved in the Auction has a current "credit" of 25,000 gold pieces (each) :D except the auctioneer :(

And... DaemianLucifer=5000, Kalah=5470, Gaidel Cain=5520, Vlad976=10000, Orfinn=14000, Echo_=17440, Tao Jones=23560, Sir William S Titan=23780, ThunderTitan=24450, wimfrits=24650, Fyl=29150, a55a55in=29400, and Pepak=29500.

Bids begin and go in minimal increments of 10 (Treasure and Item), 20 (Minor), 50 (Major), and 100 (Relic). Please offer or raise more than the minimum.

Lot #4 Open!

If ten people pop 500 gp items up to 5000, you will actually be making out better than those folks. Make quality bids and you should get something you like in these two lots. The truth is that some people are going to have to start conserving their money since they "overspent" already. It doesn't matter if it was a key item or otherwise.
No, I won't. Importantly, if I bid 4,900 for a next-to-worthless artifact and get it, I will have 25,100 for a vital artifact. If I bid 5,000 for that same artifact, I'd get it without loss. Under these situations it's better to bid for a (relatively) cheap artifact and get it if it ups the total amount of money you have.

View it from another perspective. I can bid up to 5,000 for any artifact at zero cost, and I'd better do it by Lot 5, because if I fail I won't be getting any gold whatsoever. Where then is the sense for bidding? I'd better bid and bid 5,000 gp for a 500 gp artifact. After I get it, I'd start conserving money again.

Anyway what items are on offer for Lot 5? Because while I do want some of the items here, their price is rather too high to bid for, and I may have to pour 5,000 gold pieces onto the Shield (for example).[/i]

Ah yes... the camping strategy. That's why the bonuses are there. My hope is that some of these bidders who are "winning" these early bid-up games (oh you want that? I'll bid more!) will realize how much money they are wasting.

At the same time, by giving bonus bucks and putting it in my signature I'm trying to draw new blood in the game, which should balance early players running out of resources and offer new challengers to the "campers."

It's not by fault someone is willing to bid 5000 gp for something you find in a random treasure box that would have a MAX value of 2000 gp. I put the products out there. You (collectively) determine their value.
