well, past about level 15 anyway, they're pretty ordinary before that .... my monk now is a killing machine, massive damage (has a Girdle of Frost Giant Strength, Gauntlets of Crushing, Pale Green Ioun Stone) and hits a lot
I put him alone against a rather well known character (to BG1 players) at the end of BG2, didn't get hit and was doing upto about 37 damage per hit! with fists!!

Power words are capped by HP,and thats not what I had in mind.However,I had in mind horid wilthing and,my favourite,the wail of the banshee.First time I encountered the spell was when I fought a lich in icewind dale.Half of my 15 level characters died from it.In NWN I used it against the party that you fight in hell(monk is among them),and killed almost all.And lets not pull epic spells hereThe Mad Dragon wrote:Hmmm.....Power Word Kill vs a Level 20 Monk......in 3.5 Ed rules...who'd win?
