You may want to mention building a Blacksmith first so you can immediately buy a Ballista. It makes fighting easier two ways:



1. It does a bit of damage each turn to a random foe



2. If you group all of your stacks to a corner, sometimes the enemy goes after the Ballista which it has no chance of destroying, giving your archers even more time to destroy them.

Also, you don't metion that you need to drag a stack back into the staging area to split it (or at least thats the only way I have found).



Also if you split your stacks, besure you have no more than 6 before approaching a stack that may want to join you.

That picture is so wrong. The peasants need to be 1 hex back because the archers are out of full-range in that pic. I lost only 1 peasant by the way.
