Might & Magic: Heroes VI - Epilogue - Tears such as Angels W

Disagree with "does not really have a powerful special attack". Last wish deals 12500 damage, 1-hit killed all my stacks caught in the way even at full health! Second time I spent half an hour, pen and paper, planning ahead exactly where the guardians die so I have "safe spots" w...

Might & Magic: Heroes VI - Necropolis - The Spider's Stratag

Uriel was horrible, I had around 650 skeleton spearmen and I was left with 5 dead 2 greatly reduced stacks when the fight ended (who's lame enough to wait for 1000 skeletons?).

Might & Magic: Heroes VI - Haven - Fair is Foul and Foul is

Stronghold 2 on tears path gives Sword of the Whistlebone, I used that to capture town A. "Quite weak" is a "quite misleading" description though, we're not all as uber as Maltz!

Heroes VI Combat Video 2

If the best response of another faction against Stronghold is to take the offensive, it's hard to imagine which matchup does not become one big melee slugfast. If so, triggered abilities better be deterministic, not "20% chance" (how will they handle creature luck?!).

I have 2 questions for Devs. 1) When my town is attacked, do I have the option to "Sally", as in move my units out and fight a field battle rather than a siege battle? Sometimes I don't want to fight behind walls for tactical reasons. 2) Looking at units from the official page, is it true ...

We have no idea about gameplay but the theme looks like it will taste worse than samosas in soy sauce. What I mean is Asia is so big that it's diversity is greater than between Europe and Middle East. If you go ethnic theme, don't force totally incompatible ones together. Choose Central, East or Sou...

I chose HAVEN/KNIGHT/CASTLE. Haven is interesting because you are essentially putting them into a world where they are not the dominant species, surrounded by enemies that are more numerous and more organized? When they are beaten up by superior magic or technology? What kind of cultural, religious ...

Clarification for 8): Expert attack increases melee damage by 15%, expert defense decreases melee damages by 30%. This is not "balanced". But attack and defense skill is: 20 points of extra attack skill doubles damage, 20 points of defense skill halves damage. My question: WHY? 9): I'm sti...

Maps don't need to feel like walking across Central Asia but they need to be big enough to allow a player with 3 good heroes to win against someone that has 1 superhero. I have no idea what size that is though.

A small opinion: when fighting dungeon, favoured enemies should be dragons, maidens and HYDRAS. Not witches. Nobody has enough money to hire out everything, so Dungeon players will only bring a few witches to cast spells. They might not even have a lot of them, just like you might not have many trea...

Midas, I understand your point. I just don't understand the details: <edit> 0) Oh and one thing: when Paokai's hit more than 1 enemy they only spread the damage out. They are good for killing off weak stacks, hitting ranged units protected in corners and hitting stacks with nasty retaliations that y...

Excellent guide Elvin. I just don't understand what you mean by " leadership decreases puppet master duration each time they get good morale". I don't notice it and its not in any manuals. Do you mean 1) Each time an enemy stack gains a morale boast, the puppet master duration decreases? 2...

Unusual strategic ideas (with math)

Nothing serious, today I just have some random strategic ideas in my mind. Answers to my questions would be great but discussion would be better: 1) So people say that shieldguards are pretty useful lvl 1 creatures because they are numerous and sturdy. Many also feel that zombies are worthless becau...

Why you should separate creature from army or town? Because after the initial stages you will have multiple towns and heroes, all scattered everywhere, little fights here and there. You end up reinforcing your forces in the nearest town or any dwelling you can find. It's like a real offensive war - ...

I agree that people haven't separated the Knight's effect from the paladin's effectiveness, or of the rest of the Haven army for that matter. You start with 1 town but soon you will have multiple towns and heroes as you eliminate players in FFA, human or computer. In isolation I'd say rakshasa or th...

Creeping with Dungeon is a very fustrating experience: - against walkers you don't have enough spellpoints. If they are split into 3+, blood furies won't work either. - against fast walkers they bump into your stalkers. - against flyers and they bump faster - against shooters they shoot before you c...

Meteor shower costs twice as much as fireball, yes, but it doesn't need to hit twice as many enemies to make it worthwhile. It's the benefit of hitting your enemies so you can reduce their offensive and defensive potential now, not later. To say it's not worth it is like saying warlocks should never...

Heroes will be in battle like Heroes 4, with hit-points, combat abilities and all that, but "attached" to a stack. The units in the stack takes damage first and must all die before the hero is "exposed" as a unit, and during the hero's turn it can simply attach itself to another ...
