Turner Broadcasting has announced plans to offer free access to a part of GameTap starting May 31. GameTap is a PC gaming digital distribution service that combines classics (Joust, Space Invaders, Robotron 2084, Rampage...) and more recent titles (Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend, Warlords BattleCry 3 and the first season of Sam & Max). While customers pay $9.95 per month or less based on the plan they choose (there's a $0.99 tryout), free users will need to watch advertisement. To make a long story short, I'm telling you this because several Might and Magic games are served on GameTap: Heroes I to IV and Might and Magic II to V are all there, as well as more Ubisoft titles (Michel Ancel's Beyond Good and Evil is a little jewel that didn't get the success it deserved). It would be nice if some of them were part of GameTap's list of free titles later this month -- I would love to try Might and Magic II on my current PC!

Edit: Please note that GameTap is currently available in the United States and Canada only.
