A few months after Nival Interactive moved its headquarter to Los Angeles (story on GameSpot), another developer related to the Might and Magic name makes the jump across the Atlantic. GameSpot has a Q&A with Rafael Colantonio, founder of Arkane Studios, about the new studio in Austin, Texas:

"We're working on Dark Messiah for now. (...) Arkane Studios in France has about 40 Arkanites. We want to stay as small as possible, that's the way we like to work, so we tend to work with partners and externalize as much as possible. As for the Austin office, we plan on hiring about 15 people during the first year."

Origin Systems and Ion Storm are two other game developers that were located in Austin.
