The Oracle League - An old Heroes 2 online tournament brought back to life for the release of Heroes 5, has been getting some major updates since being publicly launched just over a week ago. The major attraction for players old and new? The Oracle League 'Player Control Panel'.

Based on ideas from the original 1996 Oracle PCP, the new version is being written from scratch. The major update today is the fully functional Report Game feature.

To report a game, players must first be logged into the Oracle League website, and then select the Oracle PCP from the left nav bar. Players then select a tournament they are enrolled in, report the game details, which include the map, the result (whether they won or lost), their opponent, how honorable their opponent was, and some optional comments before they submit the details of that game. One final confirmation, and the report gets put on hold, for their opponent to log in and confirm or deny the report.

When a player logs in, the system checks for outstanding reports against them. If there are any, they cannot perform any PCP function until those reports are either confirmed or denied. Only when there are no outstanding reports against them will the player be allowed to continue.

With the new functionality present in the PCP now, and the form buttons showing some really interesting features to come, it seems that The Oracle League is definitely showing that it has what it takes. As longtime Heroes player Prometheus said, "like a Phoenix rising from the ashes".

You truly have to try it to see what I am talking about.
