A rule booklet and a card list have been posted on the official Web site of the Heroes of Might and Magic IV Collectible Card Game. Both documents are in PDF format (the rulebook is fairly large et nearly 7 megabytes) and provide a good idea of what the game is like. DGA Games director Jonathan Bjork provided additional details at the Heroes Community:

"(...) the computer game itself is essentially a board game played on the computer. It is very similar in mechanics to many strategic board games like Axis & Allies, Civilization, and others. This is true of almost all turn based strategy computer games, but we chose to translate Heroes of Might & Magic because in our opinion, it is probably the best turn based strategy game ever made, and adds a dimention of variety like no other since it has a fantasy mix masterfully woven into its design."

The game will be released in six countries (US, Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand, UK, and Australia) later this month with a retail price of $25.00 for the 2-player starter set and $3.50 for the 20-card booster packs. There is also a Deluxe edition that includes the Heroes IV computer game.
